In this journal, a theological study on holiness based on Leviticus 19:2 is presented using an exegetical approach. The author will examine and investigate the text in Leviticus 19:2, interpreting it to understand and comprehend its meaning, which will serve as the basis for providing explanations related to the chosen title. The research method to be employed is normative research or literature study. Humans, as the image and likeness of God, have been marred and tend not to reflect their Creator. Despite having fallen into sin, the demand for humans to live holy lives as God is holy remains, as recorded in Leviticus 19:2. However, in this secular world, holiness is no longer pursued as it is considered impossible to achieve and this command is seen as irrelevant. Nonetheless, Christ came into the world to exemplify how humans should live. Therefore, the chosen ones, the church, have no excuse not to implement holiness in their lives. Holiness can be defined in two ways. First, sanctification in terms of status, which has been accomplished by God through the work of the Holy Spirit via faith in Jesus Christ. Second, the process of sanctification, which continues throughout a person's life until they leave this world, where God Himself will perfect that holiness. Implementing holiness means living a "set apart" or "separated" life, which essentially indicates that humans should have a distinction or superiority compared to other creations. The concept of holiness signifies everything that is separated from common or worldly things. In line with the conclusions and objectives of this thesis, the author suggests that every congregation within the church should earnestly understand the theological study of holiness to grasp and live out God's holiness in their lives. The church should always be obedient to God's guidance, become more Christ-like, and teach this to the congregation.
